Description of Construction Contract Works THE Construction Project has been divided into three (3) separate Construction Contracts, namely CP 626/1, CP 626/2 and CP 626/3. CP 626/1 (1) The Project comprises design and construction of sewerage system including house connections in Phase 1 area (approximately 770ha) within Musaimeer catchment, QARS zone 56, Doha. (2) The Contractor shall construct, test and commission the whole of the works in this Contract. Preliminary investigations were conducted previously and the results of the topographical, geotechnical, geophysical and house connection surveys are available. (3) Time for Completion (a) The Contractor is to note that the time for completion of the Sewage System of the Design-Build Works is a crucial aspect of the Contract and the Contractor shall design all the Works within 180 days. Design of this project (phase) shall be closely coordinated with design of other adjoining projects (phases). (b) The Contractor shall adhere to the routes established for the trunk sewers but may modify routes for the internal sewers during detailed design. (c) The Contractor shall construct and test the Works within 912 days from date of the Engineer’s approval of the design work. (d) The construction work shall be undertaken in 4 stages as highlighted on Dwg. No. 626-000E. The following are milestones for the 4 stages of construction: • Stage 1 – Work shall be constructed and commissioned within 365 days from date of the Engineer's approval of the design work. • Stages 2 and 3 – Work shall be constructed and commissioned within 730 days from date of the Engineer’s approval of the design work. • Stage 4 – Work shall be designed, constructed and commissioned within 912 days from date of the Engineer’s approval of the design work. (e) Defects liability period shall be 400 days from date of completion and acceptance of the works. (f) Contract period shall be 1,492 days from date of commencement of the project. CP 626/2 (1) The Project comprises design and construction of sewerage system including house connections in Phase 2 area (approximately 1768ha) within Ain Khalid catchment together with pumping station 44A and associated rising main, QARS zone 56, Doha. (2) The Contractor shall construct, test and commission the whole of the works in this Contract. Preliminary investigations were conducted previously and the results of the topographical, geotechnical, geophysical and house connection surveys are available. (3) Time for Completion (a) The Contractor is to note that the time for completion of the Sewage System of the Design-Build Works is a crucial aspect of the Contract and the Contractor shall design all the Works within 180 days. Design of this project (phase) shall be closely coordinated with design of other adjoining projects (phases). (2) The Contractor shall construct, test and commission the whole of the works in this Contract. Preliminary investigations were conducted previously and the results of the topographical, geotechnical, geophysical and house connection surveys are available. (3) Time for Completion (a) The Contractor is to note that the time for completion of the Sewage System of the Design-Build Works is a crucial aspect of the Contract and the Contractor shall design all the Works within 180 days. Design of this project (phase) shall be closely coordinated with design of other adjoining projects (phases). (b) The Contractor shall adhere to the routes established for the trunk sewers but may modify routes for the internal sewers during detailed design. (c) The Contractor shall construct and test the Works within 720 days from date of the Engineer’s approval to the design work.
